It is believed that sages and spiritual gurus like Narasimha Yogi, Kasirayalu, Veerappaiah, EttepuRamayogi andYanumaddhasu meditated here in the ancient days and hence it is also known as Munulakonda. With the passage of time it has been referred to as Manyamkonda. Here pilgrims can explore the ancient caves where the sages’ were once believed to have practiced penance. The aura of the shrine and the hillocks makes one feel a sense of spiritual bliss and soulful rejuvenation. This is one main reason why it is quite popular among Hindus, wherein devotees from neighboring states of AP and Karnataka too visit the shrine. Renowned singer Sri Narayana Konda Hanumadas is known to have come from this place.
Manyamkonda Sri Lakshmi Venkateshwara Swamy Temple is located at a distance of nearly 22 km from Mahabubnagar town and the temple is well-accessible by road.There are a series of steps leading to the shrine on the hillock.
