The historic Pavilionof TaramatiBaradari has 12 doorways. It was built by the rulers of the Golconda Dynasty on the banks of Musi River. History attributes the name to the reign of the Seventh Sultan of Golconda, Abdullah Qutub Shah who as an ode to hisfavourite courtesan, Taramati, is believed to have named the sarai as TaramatiBaradari.The royal look of the monument, takes us to a nostalgic era of Hyderabad, where dance and music were patronized in quiet evenings, by the rulers of various dynasties.
