Telangana state is home to many diverse traditions and culture which has lent a unique identity for the state where ‘North meets the South’. This is reflected in the different cuisines, that have been ingrained into the food habits of the denizens living in Hyderabad. Right from masala chai prepared by Rajasthanis to Bisibele bath of Kannadigas and sweets prepared by Marwaris to Banana chips of Malayalis, the famous Hyderabadi Biryani to the pipingly hot Irani chai, the region is home to some of the best Indian cuisines.

Hyderabad is once again geared up to host the International Sweet Festival in Parade Grounds from January 13-15, 2020 which also coincides with the Sankranti festival and the 5th Telangana International Kite Festival. The Sweet Festival organized in 2018 & 2019, was a memorable and successful event.
The one-of-its-kind sweet festival celebrates the coming together of cuisines from various countries in the world, reflecting the culture and food habits of each country. The variety and distinct flavor of these sweets are bound to leave an unforgettable experience.
There will be an impressive display of more than 50 varieties of sweets from many states at one place, which is the highlight of this festival. Every state has a sweet with its own specialty and the aim is to display all such delicacies in the festival. For those who relish eating sweets, the organizers will be displaying hundreds of varieties of sweets from all over the world. The International Sweets Festival, is a tribute to the varieties of cuisines and desserts, which have been the hallmark of India’s ethnic diversity.
