The museum is also called the Mythological Awareness Center, which was established to create an awareness regarding Indian mythology, specifically Hindu mythology. Kunda Satyanarayana established this museum in the memory of his son Surendra, and hence the name Kunda Satyanarayana Kala Dhamam. Here, Kunda Satyanarayana has made use of artistry extensively for depicting mythology forms in an interesting and artistic manner. The museum is home to full sized replicas of most of the Hindu temples in India. The architecture of the temple and the sculptures lend an aura of spiritual bliss and a holy place. There are hundreds of such replicas. The sculptures are arranged in open air indoors, based on the size of the replica and the portrayal of mythological scene. The sculptures and paintings depict stories from Hindu epics like Ramayana, Mahabharata, and Bhagavatam.
There are dramatic war scenes between Rama and Ravana in Ramayana and between Kauravas and Pandavas in Mahabharatha, which are carved and portrayed in great finesse and detail.
