Located at a distance of 261 km from Hyderabad, one can visit a breathtaking waterfall after travelling a distance of 40 km from Nirmal town. Located in Neredigonda mandal, Kuntala is considered as the highest waterfall in the state of Telangana at a height of 147 feet. The water gushes through the rocks making its own path and then splits in to multiple streams.
At a distance of 37 km from Nirmal town, here’s the enthralling Pochera waterfall. This beautiful waterfall is the deepest of all the waterfalls in Telangana. The location is completely secluded and surrounded by scenic environment. The waterfall has great width and height, which makes it the deepest in Telangana. The fall is 20-meter high and flows down with a gushing force, and categorized as plunge waterfalls.
Explore the truly enchanting and breathtaking Kanakai waterfall also known as Kanakadurga waterfalls. It is located near Girnoor village and is covered by overgrown trees on both sides of a water stream. The gushing waters here at Kanakai waterfall is definitely a mesmerizing sight. Gayatri waterfalls, is a spectacular water body, situated on Kadam River, a tributary of Godavari River. The waterfalls is located in a highly secluded place inside a deep forest. The amazing waterfall plunges down from a height of 100 ft, creating a magnificent sight.
Kawal Wildlife Sanctuary located at Jannaram is listed among the important wildlife sanctuaries in the country. The Kawal sanctuary is home to several varieties of flora and fauna and is a must-see place for those planning to catch a glimpse of wild animals in their most natural habitat. Cheetal, Sambar, Nilgai, Sloth Bear, Barking Deer, Indian Bison, Panther and Tiger are some of the animal species that are spotted here. Tourists can even find reptiles such as Crocodile, Monitor Lizard, Python, Star Tortoise and Cobra, in Kawal wildlife sanctuary. Winter is considered as an ideal season to visit this sanctuary. The sanctuary offers services like jeep safaris, and bird watching trips for tourists who can enjoy their stay, spotting rare animals in the wild habitat.
