Taramati Baradari is a part of Ibrahim Bagh, a Persian style garden built during the reign of Ibrahim Quli Qutub Shah, the second Sultan of Golconda.
The historic Pavilion of Taramati Baradari has 12 doorways. It was built by the rulers of the Golconda Dynasty on the banks of Musi River. History attributes the name to the reign of the Seventh Sultan of Golconda, Abdullah Qutub Shah who as an ode to his favourite courtesan, Taramati, is believed to have named the sarai as Taramati Baradari. Taramati Baradari is an attractive destination of yore in Hyderabad. It is also a perfect way to spend an evening or a weekend.
