The Joginatha Temple located at Jogipet is a highly revered shrine. It is at a distance of about 38 km from Medak. The temple is dedicated to Goddess Joginatha. The most attractive feature of this holy shrine is that, both Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvathi stand side by side in the form of lingam (Shivling) without the Panivattam (pedestal).
Of the temples at the place, Jogipet, the temple of Lord Joginatha is the most worshipped one. The Joginatha festival is celebrated on a grand scale here for eleven days during the months of March and April. Thousands of devotees from all parts of the state throng the temple at this time.
